Abstract

We report a case of chronic sclerosing sialoadenitis focusing on clinical, laboratory and histological aspects and perform a review of literature with discussion of multidisciplinary clinical approach to this pathology. Chronic sclerosing sialoadenitis is an uncommon, chronic inflammatory disease that has been recently included in the IgG4-associated diseases spectrum. This pathology simulates cervical neoplastic pathology, and its definitive diagnosis is difficult. Its etiology, treatment and evolution remain topics of scientific debate.
